Moonflight Adventures

Event Type: Youth Program
Age Group(s): Family
Date: 7/11/2019
Start Time: 7:00 PM
Description:
 Ages 5 and older
Join us for a trip into outer space! Veteran spaceflight docent Bill Andrews shows what it's really like when astronauts go into space. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, we'll see how astronauts landed on the Moon for the first time, watch a live demonstration of how rockets work, and view an actual launch while experiencing the roar of a rocket engine. Discover what it's like to live and work in total weightlessness, including how the astronauts eat, sleep, and even go to the bathroom in zero gravity. The program is intended for families with children age 5 and older. Tickets for this program will be available beginning July 1. Please show your Batavia Library card or summer reading logbook to receive a ticket. No registration required. Door to the Founders Room open at 6:45 p.m.
